Awesome weekend guys! Huge thanks to Dlux for getting the ball rolling making this possible. It was totally great to hang and see a bunch of guys pitching in where ever they could. All the judges were great! The guys who stuck around on Sunday to judge even though they weren't driving was awesome! Thanks! Already looking forward to the next one! |

Absolutely awesome weekend gents!!! I am SO glad I got off my arse and made the trip. I got all "meta" on Curcal after finishing my last course on Sat. Life is transient. And dangit the weekend went so fast. Erik, thank you so much for putting on the weekend. We really appreciate all that you do for comp crawling. Another big thanks to all of the highway haulers that drove vast distances to attend and up the level of competition. Drive safe going home. Big congrats to Spencer for taking 3 First Place trophies in just as many days. Overall Champ at 17 years. Woohoo! You've raised a fine son Don.Way to go DLux for handing out the 2.2P whooping. I couldn't imagine being whooped by a better gent. Props. Nice driving Kevin...can't wait to see those trophy/rig pics. GIXXER', congats on gate 9. I'll post up photos in the pics thread. Great times. It was just like being at are local comps with great friends. Everyone going to eat and hanging out perfect group of guys. Great driving by all.

Great weekend! No drama the entire time and EVERYONE hung out together and got along, awesome. Congrats to all the podium winners, you guys drove your butt off! A HUGE thanks to Erik for putting on another successful Best of the West and hope that won't be the last, see everyone again in Vegas! |

Ahhh.... You know it was a great vacation when you can feel yourself coming down from that high and easing back into reality. One of my biggest problems in life is that I hold people to such a high standard. The problem comes in when 99.999993333333% of the time, people cant hold that standard and they let me down. I was in the "moment" multiple times this past weekend where I stopped and looked around in awe at what was going on around me. What a great group of people! To the people that were there, I would guess that we all saw this magic. To the people that were not, you missed out on some great times! IMO this is the BEST comp I have ever been to and it really came together as a group, not just a couple of people pulling a bunch of weight. Courses were awesome! Really hard but do able. I said I wouldnt thank people because its just means I will leave somebody out who really helped. I just want to thank every single person there as EVERYBODY pulled serious weight in one way or another. I couldnt ask to be in the presence of a greater group of guys. Proof that it was a great comp? All the way home I couldnt stop thinking about the next one later this year. |

Awesome comp, great group of guys Special thanks to dlux and waiting dragon for helping get my pro rig in spec fri night Erik was custom bending links in the hotel parking lot wedged into a hole in an electrical box Juan looting his parts bin for acceptable lengths after some threads broke off in the bending jig! Cool to see old friends and make some new ones Congrats to the podium finishers and my bestie grabbing a 3rd in pro, great driving Krawler Kev! Thanks to Jerrys800 for picking up the tab at the casino restaruant, bet heavy on the king crab legs and won! Ftw!!!! Be back again next year for sure, rocks in wendover are amazing |

I agree, thanks to EVERYBODY! It was a great comp, can't wait to go to the next one. I think it was a breath of fresh air for the rc comp community to all those that attended. I have quite a few pics I need to get downloaded to the pic thread, but I can't wait to see all the footage wboggs got! |

Big thank you to Dlux for putting this on, I had the most fun in years, every day we spent on the Wendover rocks was absolutely amazing! Every single one of you that helped on this event, Thank you, all of you who came out to participate, and keep the dream alive !Erik you are a world class comp organizer, hats off to you! "Eight Hondo" thanks again for picking up the dinner tab, twice!I am now getting over my RC weekend hangover, and day dreaming of the next BOTW! had a blast hanging out, driving, chatting, and driving with all of you, a pretty close to perfect group of guys, all getting along, and having fun while competing against each other, Awesome! It has all been said in posts above.... But I will say it was a great comp and weekend........ And a really great group of guys............. this was by far the most fun I have had at a qualifier What a F#ckin blast..........! extra thumbs up to the guys from Canada for judging and scoring when they could have been driving home |
