Everything is on schedule for the truck to be in stock the end of June.
There are several option parts that will be available at the release of the kit. I will try to post a pic of the kit with all the option parts soon.

any idea if these will have the 1 year worry free warranty like some of there other vehicles. with two stick packs seems like it would be a good basher like a mini emaxx

dezrik 05-08-2008 06:50 PM

Why do I want one.... LOL 380 Size brushless motors and a Mamba Micro Pro :O

CreepyCrawl 05-08-2008 09:06 PM

DTX does put out some questionable RC products, but they do have some decent gear also. I have a set of their Ultimate Wrenches, and they're very nice...haven't broken a tip yet.

I've been hoping that someone would release a small scale crawler like this, NH winters are long and I'd like to lug some rocks into my basement so I can crawl in the off season. The Cliff Climber will be a great project platform for sure...look how far some of the Nylints have gone!

A basher indeed .... But not a mini E-Maxx. (Independed suspention)
Itīs more like a mini Clod with the twin axle mounted motors

Grizzly4x4 05-09-2008 09:16 AM

I'm excited about it, I look forward to owning one, if not more. "thumbsup"

I dont like the idea of it to be honest. But thats me. The truck just looks cheap. And it will be anyways conisidering the RTR is like 240...

Thought you might like to see some of the other body colors. Unfortunately, the colors are a little off from what they look like in person but you get the idea.

so dont buy one. it is a good product from the looks of it and will help the hobby grow. unlike your silly comment about it. any weak parts will be fixed by our strong and growing aftermarket support that the RTR vehicles are helping to grow even larger. get a clue man.

Here are a couple action shots taken while I was out testing. This is one of the test vehicles. The front grille decal is a paper decal not what will actually be coming with the truck.
enjoy

Looks interesting, you can never have too many choices.

jetboat 05-09-2008 05:30 PM

Nice to see you got some real world stuff you could release!

Any chance they will ditch the rear steer? That way it will be comp legal...maybe they could add a factory dig

jdawg53 05-09-2008 08:32 PM

Jetboat
There will be an optional rear steer lockout for the truck. As far as a dig, well it is a dual motor setup so it would be done electronically.

Looks like it. And looks like the old Venom Mini Giant reworked to a dual motor on the axles like a clod and set up for crawling. Might be good. "thumbsup"

I was thinking they could use that extra servo on the rear axle to trigger a micro switch for a DIG. Better yet, if DTX could build a solid state unit...no moving parts just some transistors.

jdawg53 05-10-2008 08:51 AM

Gotcha. How you see it is how it will come. It is in production and will be in stock at the end of June.
Certainly some ideas to consider for further down the road though.

you mean like just using two ESC's?

GH Racing 05-10-2008 04:58 PM

More crawlers to choose from

Nope... they could use a simple switching cricuit to "shut off" the rear motor. Its actually a pretty simple circuit (for those with electronics degree's) They could incorperate it into a clod/DTX climber esc and I think they would sell allot.
