| Dura-Traxxas 1/10th Cliff Climber
Nothing special really, sometime I rescued from a box in a basement. I have too many spare Stampede parts on my hands... and I just have to tinker... So I had to turn Cliffy into a pick-up truck. I love it with the Stampede body! The TRX EVX-2 I put in it is more than capable with the stock motors, I used TRX - TQ 27 MHz tx/rx combo. I Widened chassis to fit 8.4V flat pack inside the chassis. Lipos too! I run the 8.4V hump pack on front axle, really helps stop the clod stall. I had to widen the shock mounts and install the bigger stiffer shocks. It's stretched overall to 1/10th scale with steel heavy duty links. For more width I'm running 1 1/2 wheel extensions and Basher rims with the 1/2 spacer. The 30 series Proline Badlands are proving to be good tires so far. I'm very happy with the progress so far. The new chassis set-up handles AWESOME!!! It's never "finished" but the changes to come will be internal, just beefing up the drivetrain, etc. I'm settled on the 'look' of the truck. It even fool my Mrs. Same body, same size, same truck right...? That's right Honey, not a new truck, same one ya. BTW Some of the other mods on here are pretty awesome too. Cliffy is my first crawler, great platform with endless mods I've never even dreamed of... Last edited by fortunespoons; 05-31-2011 at 08:40 PM. |
