| Electricity question
Hi, I was wondering if I did the right thing, I am using a 2s Lipo (7.4 3200 mAh as we often go for a 2-3 hours crawling trips) and to connect it to both B1 and B2 wires from the ESC I have made a Y connector so each one is directly connected to the battery. Is there a differance doing this compared to to shorting the B1 and connecting the battery only to the B2 (redneck mod)? Can I use higher voltage battery if Im using the Y connector? Pics will follow soon. I must say Im going with friends driving the CR01 and the CC peform very nicely compared to them (some very modified). As long as Im not trying to high stairs I can run with them and sometime go over an obsticle easier . Thanks, Ilan Last edited by ilanB; 10-05-2008 at 11:21 AM. Reason: Add pics |

the esc requires 14.4 - 16.8v. if you run lower than that you will not have as long of run or not move it at all since the esc doesn't have enough power to run it and all of the other equipment on board. not a good thing to do. put another lipo in and it should run the amount of time you want.

Thanks, I already got 3 hours of drive with the Lipo connected with Y connector but the car felt weak. I now changed the whole set up. Changed the ESC to Super Rooster that I had and connected the engines in parallel with decent 14 gauge wires. In house it seemed more agile, will test drive it tomorrow on some rocks. Ilan |
