Default jdawgs CC

Here is a CC I have been running alot lately.

-Removed the center section to allow for lower elec mounting
-Cut the side plate to get the ESC down low. I wish I had another FXR-Pro to put in it but they are both in my Berg
-Holmes 454's (LOVE EM)
-5oz + Great Planes stick on lead weight in each front wheel (Proline)
-Big bore shocks
-FULL metal gear set (including the main gear)
-Full bearing set
-Aluminum links
-5 cell battery mounted on the graphite batt plate over front servo

Looks good J. How do those 454's do on 5 cells? Sure makes it easy to pick a battery since I have a bunch of 6 cell 2/3a's laying around

I love them with 5 cells. I have tried 5,6 and 8 cells with them. 8 cells was silly stupid power. I am currently using Much More 5 cell receiver batts and love the performance. 6 cells gave me a little extra, but since the thing is pretty light it doesn't really need 6 cells. Thanks for letting me use your butter knife
I am working on doing a carbon chassis for it now. Just need time to finish drawing it up.

Well, they are setup completely different. My Berg uses front steering only and a dual esc setup to control dig. My CC is 4 wheel steering and a single esc without dig. They just are not the same. Not to mention the size differences. I usually take my Berg, Axial and my CC when I go crawling and each work differntly, but all of them are a blast to drive. Hope this answers your question.

giger
I would talk to the lhs's first to see if they can order in the parts for you. I don't know of any of the RCC vendors that are currently carrying the hop ups or I would suggest one of them. You can always go to Tower Hobbies.

Yes, the gearbox housing is covered under stress tech guarantee. However, the gears themselves are not.

I am running samples of the main gears right now. We should have the main gears in stock soon. New dogbones? I am still running the stock dogbones.

J, go to my "Broke" thread and look at the twisted break, that is with the stock motors. I purchased the CVDs they look a bit more beefy.
And yes the warranty department rocks, If I could I would buy them a round!!!

I already checked that out. I have never broke an axle like that. Very impressive. Even with the Holmes motors I have not seen that. I have alot of time on SEVERAL Cliff Climbers. I will pass along your appreciation to our service center. Alot of times all they hear is how upset someone is so to get a pat on the back once in a while will be appreciated.

Randy dont dispair, shit happens, just count your stars that it wasnt a real 1:1.
Call the warranty #(217) 398-0007 and they will be happy to send you out a set.
