AJrc 11-08-2008 02:56 PM

so right now im working on the suspension links. Ill post some pcs in a few

gigercreeper 11-08-2008 08:14 PM

are those tmaxx links all the same length? i finially put mine to the test and its git to b longer. does crawl better wth the 2.2 hammers than the stockers all trimmd up. the clod stall wasnt realy prevelant either. everthing is still stock jst reconfigured ans still havent broke or stripped nything on this i love these little things"thumbsup" so wats the total legnth wth the tmaxx links:?:

AJrc 11-08-2008 10:01 PM

randy1 11-08-2008 10:05 PM

take off the shock

randy1 11-08-2008 10:06 PM

truck is way to tall . u need the belly of the truck to be 3 in . nothing wrong with trying to make it longer but u are going about it all wrong.

AJrc 11-08-2008 10:06 PM

you mean like the spring?? im kinda new to crawling, but what would that do to the suspension?

randy1 11-08-2008 10:07 PM

un do the shocks . set somthing under truck that is close to 3 in. an tell me how long ax to ax is

randy1 11-08-2008 10:10 PM

the shock are to long u need limit them or u need shorter shocks. ideal u need the belly of the truck 3 in. off the ground

AJrc 11-08-2008 10:11 PM

ok hold on a secc, maybe like ten minutes

gigercreeper 11-08-2008 10:11 PM

lookin like a monster crawler"thumbsup""thumbsup". r the shox all the way back in the last mounting hole? i think i will give those links a try on mine. will the stock shox still attach:?::?: i would try to run it a little flatter lower the cg

randy1 11-08-2008 10:17 PM

http://i457.photobucket.com/albums/q...Picture012.jpg
here if u look at mine its not all jacked up in the center . this is what u are after

AJrc 11-08-2008 10:18 PM

giger, i tried the stock shocks on the front links, and it had NO support. it wouldnt crawl. the links are perfect for me so far. but the stock shocks can not handle the links.

randy1 11-08-2008 10:22 PM

so your links are going to make this lil truck like 11.5 or 12 in ax to ax sounds like

AJrc 11-08-2008 10:22 PM

randy, from axle to axle is from like 8-10 inches.

randy1 11-08-2008 10:25 PM

with the shocks hooked up

AJrc 11-08-2008 10:26 PM

nooo not hooked up

randy1 11-08-2008 10:27 PM

then the stock shoks should work . mine is 10.25 ax to ax

AJrc 11-08-2008 10:28 PM

my stock shocks couldnt hold it. but ya lets see you do the shocks. id love to hear if it worked.

randy1 11-08-2008 10:28 PM

stock is 9.25 so if your 8 you have lost

randy1 11-08-2008 10:30 PM

i put a pick up there for ya . its 3 in. belly like i told ya an its 10.25 ax to ax dont no what u have done wrong

gigercreeper 11-08-2008 10:32 PM

http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/l...PICT0190-1.jpgsee how these shocks are mounted on the links. that probly would b the cheepest maybe the best way to fix this sus prob. then you could use the stock shox and limit the travel so as not to go less than 9 or watever you want it to b.

randy1 11-08-2008 10:33 PM

ok i think ive got it for u

AJrc 11-08-2008 10:35 PM

i think i mightve done it wrong

randy1 11-08-2008 10:39 PM

here is what i think after lookin at my stocker . unhook the top links at the chasis an u want the servo to be flay on top so u will need to shorten the top links an this should fix it all

gigercreeper 11-08-2008 10:44 PM

if u mount the top link on on the lowest part of the chasis behind the front link it will change the angle of the servo without adjusting the link

randy1 11-08-2008 10:46 PM

yes he has to shorten top links i think that will fix all of it

AJrc 11-08-2008 10:48 PM

hmmmm...

randy1 11-08-2008 10:57 PM

pm sent to ya aj

AJrc 11-08-2008 11:12 PM

gigercreeper 11-08-2008 11:20 PM

AJrc 11-08-2008 11:21 PM

randy1 11-08-2008 11:24 PM

AJrc 11-08-2008 11:26 PM

gigercreeper 11-08-2008 11:28 PM

around four pound according to my scale

gigercreeper 11-08-2008 11:30 PM

thats with the 8 sub-c cell battery pack

AJrc 11-08-2008 11:30 PM

oh ok. thats not badd .
does anyone know how to extend the length of battery to the connecter.
i cant strap it on my front servo. it wont reach

gigercreeper 11-08-2008 11:32 PM

the guys that i crawled wth to day they all had axial based crawlers, there trucks were twice as heavy easily and they had little reciever lipos. they all had those 130 dollar rims wth the slugs in them

AJrc 11-08-2008 11:34 PM

:shock:i would never spend that much on rimsss
