Default Cliff Climber with ctrail chassis

I finished up transferring my cliff climber over to the c-trail chassis from The Crawler Store. It turned out really nice and climbs really nice. I had it out on the rocks a little bit this afternoon and I was really impressed. At the present time I'm running an old Betty body, but I want to get something with a more scale appearance. Here's a couple pics.

It took a little experimenting with the placement of links, but everything seems to work good now.

What links did you end up using? I just ordered all the alumn. links. Hopefully those would work. Even though I am not to crazy about the blue anno. I like em better than plastic.

I have the blue aluminum links, but I ended up using the stock plastic ones.

Alright Sgil, I'm getting ready to order this chassis. Got any advice, pointers, to offer up? What about any materials or hardware snags you ran into. I have been into the hobby for years and got all kinds of shiz layin around, but not much in the way of crawling materials. Any heads up would be appreciated man.

I had to shave off a little plastic on the top of the shock mounts so they wouldn't bind, but other than that I didn't really need to do too much. I looked at the picture on the Crawler Store website and just went from there.

I had the CC out on the rocks this past sunday and it did really well.

Does this chassis lower the cg some? Everything on the stock chassis seems so high. It helped greatly getting a battery on the front end and ditching the center one, but still seems high.

I think it's much better than the stock chassis. Thats probably due to the fact that the wheelbase is longer. The CG is probably lower as well. It's not as tippy as it was with the stock setup.
