Default Little power?

I got a cliff climber today and I love it.
The only problem is that it seems there is almost no power.

I love the fact it is slow, but I climb up a pillow or something and the front or rear tires do not move. It is really annoying me because it can not climb well right now.

I am currently running one 6 cell 1100 mAH battery.
Most people seem very happy with their cliff climber, and I wanted to know if there was something I could do that could greatly improve the torque, cheaply (no puller motor).

Should I run a 10 cell on this thing? Or could it just be my battery =/

Thanks

Check to make sure both motors are working. Mine was like yours when I first got it until I realized the rear motor wasn't working. Found that the set screw for the motor gear was loose.

It could be the battery. More voltage will help too, as they are designed to work on 12 cells.

Both motors work.
I am going to make sure everything is wired properly, and if that does not fix it then I will get a new battery.

I tried my car with a 10 cell from my other crawler and it seems to work a lot better, so I think I will get a 10-12 cell.

Hi
to get more powers use 2 mini 2/3 batteries
if u dont have alot of money you could use 2 pro pulse batteries, u have to fit them like a puzzle, but there only like 10$ from radio shack
thats the reason u only have a little power
your supposed to use TWO!!!!!! batteries
not one
by another one or else your crawler will barely work it supposed to have at least 12-16 volts thats what the esc is made for , not running 1 battery

Not so much.....a lot of people are only using one battery on the CC.
My guess is your battery. Might need to volt up as well. I am using 2 1600 packs and feel the speed is too much. I am hoping dropping one battery will tame it down a bit. Are you wired up properly man?

How about a 4 cell Lipo-anyone running a 4 cell Lipo on a CC?
How about a 8t pinion? Which would help the rear from stalling? Matt

I am running a 3 cell w/mamba, it ran the stock motors w/no stall nicely. But be 4 Warned, once you go lipo you will break gears, axles, and your sanity. I have HH Cobalt's now and i'm replacing main gears and front dog bones weakly. I built my own rear dog bones out of 1/4" aluminum(since I locked the rear steer). Thumbs up to Hobbico warranty as they put up with me weekly, but I think they understand as metal main gears and CVDs have been on BO for over a month now.

Stock motors w/3 cell:

Whoa,
My clod stall will stop completely if I just get a 11.1 volt lipo?

That is my main concern right now...

I thought i'd share this cuz i ran into the same problem as you did but on a different truck (clod drivetrain). I started off with a small 1100 mah battery on my dual motor-dual battery clod setup. I had very little power in the rear and the front was doing everything (clodstall). I realized that 7.2 volts was not supplying the motors enough power so i upgraded to 14.4 with dual 4000 mah batteries. The result was.....WOW! I'm betting once you upgrade that battery, you'll feel like you installed a corvette motor in it.
