knuckles finally got the chance to play with the climber today, and the rear steering has a mind of it's own. nothing wrong with the servo or anything, the rear spindle is flexing so much the wheels go lock to lock without the servo even moving. started checking it out and the front is flexing a bit too, but not as much as the rear because of the steering extension. is there a way to reverse the polarity to the servo so i can get rid of the extension tube? what's my other option, order a set of blue billet spindles? who has the best deal on them, ebay? |
Here is the link. Just do a advanced serch for servo reversing. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showt...=servo+reverse Hope this helps Matt |
thanks matt, looks simple enough. just gotta get a soldering gun now. |

Or you could just take the rear servo off and have a spare. Lockout the rear and no worries! |
lock it out thats the way to go. |
1. lock it out so rear steer is not an issue 2. replace the plastic steering rods with aluminum and lower the rear adapting post 3. a $5 dollar servo reverser 4. rewire the servo or.... 5. a combination of 2 and 3 6. a combination of 2 and 4 7. a combination of 1 and 2, get a high torque servo, and put the biggest set of 2.2 tires you can find on the thing. |
I locked it out on mine. ahhh my son's |
well i got a set of DTXC8230 billet knuckles and put them on, and after a quick allignment it's much better. no more knuckle flex and it actually returns to center when you let off the control. gonna do the fronts too when i get the extra funds. plus the blue looks awesome! |
