When i glimpsed your CC in the Gallery thread, i thought "now that looks like a COMP rig! :O" Do you comp with it? Cuz the scenario looks like it, but just might be your own gates.. |

:-PThanks The pictures are in my yard, me and a couple neighbors play around in the evenings, just to see what we can do. I am going to watch my first comp tomorrow. I would like to be able to enter it sometime, not sure how it would do. :-P

I lowered the body about 3/4 in. and trimmed 3/4 in off the bottom of the body and then had to trim the front of the hood. It clears rocks alot better now. I also trimmed down the body mounts since the body is a little narrower. Then had to cut some clearance holes in the bed to clear the shocks and shock mounts. It looks alot better, the body sits on the chsssis more like it should, before it was a little high. It is able to clear obstacles it was having trouble with before. I made some lower front bent links by using some aftermarket axial links, they are about half again bigger in diameter so they should'nt break. I had to move them on the outside of the mount to clear the motors. This mod made the front axle level to the ground so the steering should be better. |

My CC now has Axial upper and lower links cut down to size. I used St racing concepts bent lower axial links front and rear. I lenghtned the front lower links to clock the axle, it is now level. Used Axial upper links front and rear. I cut down some axial links for the front steering links and changed the servo to a spektrum z590 with metal arm. I used axial offset link ends with traxxes balls. It now turns left and right all the way till the knuckles hit the housing, Big improvement. I moved all the links to the outside of the axle mounts. I was bending the ends of the links on the duratrax rods. I am in the process of finishing the wiring on the mamba max. I trimmed the bottom of the body and lowered the body about 3/4 inch. |

That thing looks mean. I like the lowered body, may have to give that a try.

The body clears nice, I cut a little off the ends of the body mounts so they don't drag so much on rocks. The truck body narrows down the further up you go. I also trimmed the stock CC body to fit. :-P

Thanks, Still running stock motors. I put heat sinks to try to run cooler. They handle the tires fine. :-P

I will see what i can do for a drawing. I used the stock lower link mount and added another one then shaved off one side to fit the contour of the frame. That is what the battery sits on. I copied the stock electronics mount then added the extra length and made it out of aluminum.
