You could use them for any build you would want but they do not meet the definition of scale. For them to be "scale" they would need to look like a 1:1 axle with drive shafts etc.
As far as a good start for crawling, not the best in my opinion. It crawls well but the support is not there yet for aftermarket stuff. Duratrax has some hop ups but that is about it. If you plan to compete there is no class that the CC falls into without doing alot of work to it. If you are looking for a good truck to start with and you think you may compete in the future, or if you have limited places to crawl I would recomend the Losi Mini. It is small so smaller tighter crawl spots are fun and it fits into the 1.9 class out of the box.
I don't mean to knock the CC in the CC forum, I have a Losi Mini, a CC, and an AX-10. I just got the CC and really like it as a basher fun truck. I just could not pass up the $120 price tag. My other two are set up as comp trucks so this one will be set up to get beat on and have fun with. |
