Its like an adorable mini berg!

CRAZYACE63 03-02-2009 11:28 PM

Mini berg. I like it. I will probably have to end up with one. Then throw some mini torque masters from HH.

On_The_Rocks 03-03-2009 01:20 PM

I picked one up from Tower. Should be here Thursday. Now I just need to get batteries.

Ordered mine over the weekend, not here yet but should be soon, of course they did not come out with the coupon till Monday, great price anyway. Just wish you could comp it in the 1.9 class. Would be a great secound comp rig (or first depending on how well it does).

Are these good starter crawler? I want to possible get into crawling or scale trucks Would these axles be good for a scale project? I am not new to rc cars and i run a clodbuster (but its a race truck not a crawler) so i have no problem with custom stuff.

Some may disagree, but i think its great for the money, i paid $120 for it, but it is very capable, and could be even better, some people really hate the clod stall on it, but i havnt had much issues with it, i ran it a total of maybe 2 hours on my rock course in my back yard, and it impressed me even on wet rock for what people make it sound like, i found as long as your light on the throttle and your axle isnt hung up this thing has no problem going over some big rocks...but i am not very much into scale trucks and mine isnt going to be one so i couldnt help you there...hope this helps. "thumbsup"

These axles are not scale by any stretch of the imagination. You could use them for any build you would want but they do not meet the definition of scale. For them to be "scale" they would need to look like a 1:1 axle with drive shafts etc.

As far as a good start for crawling, not the best in my opinion. It crawls well but the support is not there yet for aftermarket stuff. Duratrax has some hop ups but that is about it. If you plan to compete there is no class that the CC falls into without doing alot of work to it. If you are looking for a good truck to start with and you think you may compete in the future, or if you have limited places to crawl I would recomend the Losi Mini. It is small so smaller tighter crawl spots are fun and it fits into the 1.9 class out of the box.

I don't mean to knock the CC in the CC forum, I have a Losi Mini, a CC, and an AX-10. I just got the CC and really like it as a basher fun truck. I just could not pass up the $120 price tag. My other two are set up as comp trucks so this one will be set up to get beat on and have fun with.
