3 emails (with picture comparisons) went unanswered.
Just called them (second time) today. Still not refunded, but Jim said it was in the works.

I am not dinking with them after this. He is still telling me that it is probably the right pinion! The thing cannot be 0.6M!

Done.
9T for now front and rear with some stall.
Prob going back to some gearboxes of some kind.

Tamiya's on 6 cells is working awesome for me. Once I dropped the two extra cells and made a custom 4/2 4200 6 cell pack I was rockin' .... it's currently about as fast as my Venom Creeper with a 35T motor. My only fault is no drag brake .... but that can be fixed eventually (looking for a used rooster crawler)

got an e-mail back from them ... they have e-mailed the supplier along with all the other info they have (sounds like sweli's issue being addressed) and have asked for the proper parts to be sent. When they come we'll be getting our proper 10T's.
Until then ...

so could you run a 9t and a 11t or is it too big of a difference?

Hey there, new to this forum. Just reading through this thread about reducing the gear ratio on the CC. Anyone try the gear reduction units for the 380 motors on rc4wdstore.com? Looks like a better option than the great planes box and has 2.3 output shaft. Let me know if anyone has tried it.

Could work very well, but you would have to play with both upper and lower link loctions on the side the motor would stick out of now.
By the looks of it, it is about 15+mm long. Would that cause tire rub on the motor endbell?

That was my concern too. Didn't know if anyone had tried it yet?

I thought the same thing. I emailed them and asked for exact measurements, which they never sent. clearance will be the issue. you will likely have to find and buy yet another set of motors that have a short enough can to make it fit. that being said, I would still like to see someone try them.

If this has already been said sorry, but try this place RW racing. They have down to 9t with a 1/8th shaft and most likely down to about 7-8t in 2.3mm. From what I have found they have fast shipping, but I have not put my pinions to the test yet. Pinions aren't cheap, but if they make them in the size you want I don't suppose you have a choice.

for .6 mod they only list 10-30 tooth pinions. Although, that means we at least have the option of a 10t pinion now. Intead of using a modified 9T pinion.

I emailed Neil at RW. He has a 9t Mod 0.6 pinion, but it is a 1/8 bore. He said he could add a bore sleeve to get it down to 2.3mm. Is this what you did? Will the pinion be too big?

I will use them on my super berg when I get it built. It states they also make 1/18th scale mod 0.6 pinions, I would have thought they would have a 2.3mm bore? I have not received my pinions yet otherwise I would put up some pictures, but I am sure they would work with the sleeve?

I will be ordering them in the next week and making them fit ( some how ). I will post the results. The links may look like pretzels but IT WILL FIT.

Nice, Cant wait to see what you come up with! Maybe some upper links triangulated over the motor (like a berg)?
