Default possible 10T pinion

sky-holic.com
Some Korean site that lists a 10T 0.6 module, 2.3mm bore pinion for a gear drive unit, but does not have an online ordering system. I emailed the korean site, and you guys want pinions, I encourage you to help flood them with emails. I have also requested a quote from a machine shop for custom pinions from a gear specialist. We'll see what THAT costs. I have to solve the clod stall. The cliff climber has too much potential as a competitive crawler to give up on. Even with the stall, my climber was "embarassing" my friend's venom creeper (his words, not mine) at the local crawling spot, and some random dude had to have one after seeing it in action.

Glad you are looking into this, keep going. Just a thought, maybe we should just flood Duratrax with emails, they would be the natural source to get another pinion made, it is their truck. Off to email duratrax now.

I have inquired to about 17 online gear shops.
Some in Japan and China.
Japanese one just sent me a CDrom with their catalog. 0.6M is custom to them and not 'off the shelf'.

One promising lead I had, I sent to John H. since he would have more buying power.

My Q, is why the !#@$!$#^@%^ 0.6M?? I know some of their other rigs run it. The designer at Duratrax needs a smack up side the head.

I think Duratrax needs to fix the problem with making some smaller pinions and some new motors. I think I will email them. :-(:-(

That Sky-holic site has 9T 0.6M, in 2mm shaft sizes. Simple center drilling and we have 9T!!!!!!!
They look brass, but still better then what we have.

I emailed them also.

Rob H. maybe you could order up 50 ea for US resale to us poor CC owners.

I just got a reply from sky-holic, and was told that my purchase was too small, and that I should order from bphobbies.com. I couldn't find the gears listed at that site, so this might be a strike out. I also searched for gear stock to make my own gears, and I couldn't find 0.6 module 10T gear stock anywhere. Why is this so difficult?

I emailed that company as soon as you forwarded it too. No leads back yet. My gearcutter wants to try them in aluminum.

Who here wants 2.3mm bore?

They responded to my email. Said shipping would be expensive, and recommended BP Hobbies in NJ.
I contacted Jim there. He carries lots of items from the HobbyElectronics in Korea, but not those gears.

I have another email back into Sang-Hoon Lee at HobbyElectronics asking cost of 10 of the 9T and 10T shipped via 4-8day service.

JohnR. The gears look brass. What is your opinion on them riding against the sintered metal Duratrax main gears?

I would definitely need at least 6 of the 10T 2.3mm pinions if you can get them, John. My CC, my son's CC, and my daughter's soon to come CC. My wife had to be the odd one out with a Losi MRC.

Go 9T, and center drill the last 0.3mm out.
Chuck the pinion in one drill, and a #43 drill bit in another drill.
Spin the first drill slowly in the opposite direction (against the direction) of the drill bit.

I just got an email from Jim at bphobbies, and he said they will be ordering 10T 0.6 module, 2.3mm bore pinions from sky-holic later this week. No work on how long until they are in stock, but if you want pinions call or email Jim at support@bphobbies.com . He asked what other pinions people wanted, so I told him most of us wanted the 10T, and a couple wanted the 9T 2.0mm bore to drill out on their own.
