Default Dig Set- up

Has anyone thought about trying a dig set up on a Cliff Climber? I was looking in the berg section and it looked pretty simple. Any thoughts?

I've looked at it and it seems easy. I still haven't decided between that or rear steer. I'm sure metal gears would be a must if you had any power.

Right now mine has it built in can't hardly get all four to spin at the same time.

Hi,
I followed the DIG setup with Ratshack switches in a 2.3 box, when I first built the BMV chassis for mine in the fall.

Here is a pic of the first round.

I followed this thread:
dig setup and wiring?

* Mounted Futaba micro servo to two small HDPE blocks, then those blocks to a 1/8" thick PE sheet.
* Cut a slot in the sheet for the servo horn to fit through.
* Mounted the switches to the opposite side of the PE sheet. (pic below).
* My butane iron would not heat up enough, so bad solder job this time around. Covered all soldered surfaces with liquid tape.
* Set up my Futaba 3PM so button on grip locks rear and spins front. Normal ch3 slide switch locks front and spins rear.

Just redid the switches with smaller gage wire, cleaner joints, no liquid tape.
Still works great. Just need stronger motors.
The DIG is what killed my 400 series add-on gearbox gears, that I since removed.

Since I stretched the frame on mine I can get all four to spin sometimes. I am thinking ahead on what I would like for the CC in the future and I think a dig set up would be nice to have.

My plan is to do a dig set up once there is a motor to eliminate the clod stall. The one in the berg forum looks like it is for front and rear.
