Well, the cliff climber isn't made by Dutatrax, either. It is designed and built by anderson models, who designed ALL of Duratrax's minis. I guess LRP showed an interest in the design at some point. I wonder if LRP would fix the gearing if they wanted the design.........

Bet they are glad they did not jump into this one. Bottom fell out of the profit margin, real fast.

But hmmmmm.......... maybe LRP would have come up with a REAL motor for it?

if LRP is looking to jump into this boat why not put something together that you could really use in the 1.9 class instead of something 2 companies are already failing with.

LHS today told me he can only get two RC cars from Duratrax now, the CC and a nitro buggy.
His sources tell him that Duratrax may go to pasture.

Doubt LRP would pursue this after seeing Duratrax fail at it.

I don't know about that; Tower still lists all the 1/10th scale cars and trucks as available. All the giant nitro stuff is discontinued or gone, which is to be expected in this economy. Don't forget that Duratrax is just one division of Hobbico/Great Planes/Tower Hobbies, and there are more under that umbrella. I do know from talking to my LHS that their own online distribution sites usually takes precedence over the hobby shops, they have had a lot of issues with Losi/Horizon. They too have said a lot of products from a lot of companies outside that network are also back-ordered, so something may be going on with the various distribution networks from Asia.

Everybody is trimming their product lines these days.

Just went to LRP's website, they say it is available. Looked at all there other 1/18th stuff and it all looks like Anderson/ Duratrax stuff. They also have a British flag on the site, bet they bought Anderson.

On Team Associated Site, move cursor over "Home".
LRP Electronic is the last choice on the pulldown menu that appears.

BTW, when did LRP get a Brushless Crawler motor and ESC?
Wonder what 'Auto Hill Brake' means? Like Novak's 'Stop Brake'?

They are RTR, and becuz LRP are german, i'm guessing around 150euros ... -_- (that's the sort of price i'd expect) That's why a friend is bringing me a CC ARTR from USA :P

EDIT: Oh, and btw, here's a vid of the LRP BL crawler esc+motor in an AX10 i guess ...
