Rear steer felt really funky to my son and I; we took it out. It takes some time to get used to how the truck tracks with 4ws, the rear doesnt' always go where you think it should. We wanted it to drive like our other rigs that we're used to.

| I agree I think i am going to eliminate the rear steering because of that. the rear wheels because they can be turned will somtimes get lodged in places they otherwise wouldn't.

| yup eliminate it because there is a metal bar like that holds the steering link that screw tht holds it gets loose so there is a lot of slop

| I already used a servo reverser so i could eliminte that wierd bar you are talking about. even without that the wheels can get pushed in directions you dont want them to go

Yep. Lock it out. Was prolly the first thing I did, and there is definitely a noticeable difference in predictability. I tried the cheap ways first... All too much slop. Do yourself a favor and buy the kit, OR fix up your own lock bar. |

I like it. I have 3 scalers and bought the cc as a basher/comp style crawler so I am keeping the rear steer. I made a home made link to get rid of the spacer.

| Yeah the spacer has got to go...I used a Punk Rock 4 wheel steer unit. That way the servo arm isn't pointing up and you can get much more torque out of your servo with out the spacer in there.Because the spacer (as everybody knows) moves back and forth when you go to steer taking away from the servos power. |

I keep going back and forth, don't like it due to the "weird" feeling and I may want to comp it just for kicks. Do like it because the front end can't swing it around to sharp even with clocked axles.

I too prefer to have the rear steer locked out. griz there are a lot of ways you can go about it. I found this to be the easiest for me, and I had all the parts to do it just sitting in one of my boxes. |
