Default Cliff Climber

I just bought a Cliff Climber. I was wondering what bodies fit this crawler? I know its not the best but I really couldn't afford a axial. I would really like to know how this would hold up against rocky terrain and just running around my yard crawling over stairs and other stuff.

Stock it's only 9.5" wheelbase so unless you'll be extending it you may be limited. It has been mentioned that some Tamiya bodies fit somewhat well, like the guy with the Parma Blackfoot bodied scaler.

You could extend it about 2" pretty cheap with (4) sets of these: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXVDR9&P=7
They are the same as the stock links but almost an inch longer. An easy, inexpensive extension that might let you mount up more bodies.

Ttam the cliff climber is a cool rig and unless you want want to compete you should be just fine out of the box. a comp rig would require multiple up grades but most of us just want a capable crawler to have fun. the nice thing about getting a crawler is you are not limited by the products a company provides, with any crawler you will have some customizing to do and will definitely need some imagination. if you do a little research we have some members that sell chassis as well as other nice upgrades. most of all have fun.

Yep, Tamiyas Brat, Blackfoot, and Monster Beetle bodies have a wheelbase that is pretty much perfect for a stock CC. Parma also has the Blackfoot remake body like the one I am running if you don't want to spend what the original bodies will sometimes sell for. Here are a few links to bodies that are known to work with the stock wheelbase.

There are plenty more I'm sure, you'd just have to get some wheelbase measurements from sellers or manufacturers.

Just thinking out loud but I wonder how a wild willy body would look on a stock CC with some narrower tires?

I have one in my ebay watchlist right now cause I have been curious about it myself. My only reason for being hesitant is because it is such a shallow body that I'm concerned too much of the chassis will be exposed which wouldn't look very scale.

That's the beauty of MOA axles, you don't need all that center chassis area. Make your own chassis and you can really lower a body on it.

I haven't seen a servo sitting on the axle of a 1:1 either.

I just ordered the Pro-Line VW Baja clear body. I hope it fits.. If not I will make it work. I couldn't pass up the bug body. I was wondering if any of the chassis's (second link) would work with the CC? I plan on upgrading stuff in the future.

For that matter, who runs electric in 1:1, haha? Gotta draw a line somewhere, then slowly cross it.
