Default CC wheel and tire question

Im ready to buy something new for the cc wheel or tire based. Would a standard 2.2 wheel fit in the stock CC tires or do I need different tires? Also, if I were to keep the stock wheels, what tires would you recommend and would it even be worth changing the tires? I have my CC extended to 11" wb so I want something new for the wheel/tire combo and I was curious on some opinions. This will be for fun crawling since there are no classes for comps for the CC locally. Thanks

Have you considered going to a true 2.2 wheel and tire combo? I am currently running stock axial AX-10 kit wheels and tires and it does quite well. If you use the stock Axial ARTR tires you get Proline Hammers in M2 and they are even better. Both of those sets can be found fairly cheap in the for sale section on here. I just saw a set of the stock ARTR wheels and tires for $30 shipped.
