Wouldn't it just be a broken steering link? The one that connects the two knuckles together?

I did not have high expctations because it was Duracrap, , I got it because it was $109 RTR and I wanted to see what it could do (if nothing else the kids could play with it). So far with the mods I have done I think I got a good deal. My AX is better by far but it also cost three times as much.

I believe what he means by "turn" is go 'round to make the truck drive, not steering.

Main gear output joint, DTXC8248, is my guess. My bushing seized, stalling the wheel... I guess the motor/gears are stronger then that joint. Dogbone cuts a grove in joint, leaving wheel locked, letting the other wheel spin. I assumed it was because i overtighned the wheel when i reversed them... But it could be just a bad design. the slits for the dog bone are cut too far in the "wheel shaft", letting them score and dig into the bushing, eventually locking it in there. (page 11, step 3 in manual) I bought the bearing set to prevent this from happening again.

I bought the kit version about 6 months ago when they dropped to 69.99. It is still in the box under my workbench. I did take it out and mount a towerpro servo on it though.

If they drop much more I may pick one up for the Wife's first crawler.

Why don't you give her that one?
