Default how to turn a cc in to a scale trail rig

hay ive been seeing some of your guys cc scalers. i like the idea of a scale cc more then the stock climber. i need some insight on what to get, i want a truck body that fits well over the wheels, any suspention specs, im planing on either getting the tcs frame or using the stock frame with home made links to 12 in wb. what do you guys think.

I Think its a great idea. i have kinda started the same project. I extended the wheel base with the frame i made and the Tamiya clod buster body seems to fit it pretty well with a few problems that i am working to correct.

clod buster body

This is my rig right now. but you can get the gist or it.

I used my stock Clod chassis and mounted the axles up under it. Stock links and everything was used. I am running it on a EVX2 ESC with dual Sub C packs. Its a great performing truck. All in all it was a 1 hour conversion swap. I didn't spend a dime to do it, had everything already available.

Thanks a lot man. Best part, dirt cheap. If one can find a Clod body its a simple swap, just a few holes to drill and 2 pieces of aluminum L Channel. These Chassis are easy to find dirt cheap all over the place. Not many guys will keep their Clods stock, so they at least to a chassis swap and toss the stock chassis or sell them for next to nothing.

With the big honkin Rubicon 2.2 it shows some clod stall, but with 1.9 RC4WD Rock Stompers it is a real good trail truck.

Wow that's sharp. I have been looking at doing a scale setup based on a CC and this nails it on the head.

That Clod setup looks great. How about a step by step on how to do that.

Thanks
