Default MY cliff climber build thread!!!

hay i bought a drx cc about 2 weeks ago and felt like i needed a little more ability out of it so im now running a traxxas xl-5 waterproof esc, along with a traxxas 4 channel 27mhz resiver, with a traxxas tq transmiter. im using a hextronik hx12k hi-speed servo only one because ive locked the rear steer out. i have the wires wiered parrell instead if in a series. it is powered by 2 2cell 20c 1750 zippy lipos, with high current deans plugs. im also running 11t pinions front and rear for more torque. ive made homemade rear links out of traxxas rod ends and 6:32 allthread. tops are 108mm and bottom are 116mm makes the wheel base 10.5 inches, i plane to make the same front links so the wb should be around 12in, and should also clock the front axel. tire weights are on order!!

sounds like you got it figured out!!and by the way one of the cheapest things you can do to help it is throw some 2.2s on there. helps it all around!

Default Update!!

i order some scale parts, to turn it into a 1.9 scale chevy 454ss! i went with the tcs proto ctrail frame, with tamiya high lift wheels, and tires. also i won the chevy body on ebay for $5. i plane on painting the inside of the truck rust color, and the out side white, so when it gets scrached it looks like rust haha. will post pics when the parts arrive!

CC now a 72 454ss pick up!

TCS CHASSIS
TRAXXAS XL5 (waterproofed)
TRAXXAS 4 CHANNEL RESIVER (waterproofed)
HEXTONIK HIGH SPEED SERVO (waterproofed)
RUNNING LIPOS (1750) (waterproofed)
TAMIYA HIGH LIFT WHEELS/TIRES
I used the stock suspention, links, and springs. I trangulated the bottom links, and made my own skid plates.

I water proofed all the elctronics, using plasti-dip.

I still ned to finish the body, and coat it with plsti-dip to make it stiffer, and i made a snorkel out of a manifold i had laying around from a nitro car. i still need to cut the body post so they dont stick out so far. shes ready for the water, and mud!! i hope
