| questions about setting up
I am new to crawling and bought a CC. It is the prebuilt and has no electronics except for motors (not bad for $49). I thought I would put in it a receiver from my dx6i and use two escs to be able to do the two stick thing. If I did this, would I need to put a BEC on the receiver? Also, wont the juice coming into the receiver from the two escs fry the receiver? Why does everybody want to lock out the rear steering? What is clod stall? Sorry for all of the questions and thx in advance for the answers! |

as for a bec just pull the red wire from one of the esc's goin to the reciever so it wont fry. im not sure why ppl want to lock the rear stear. clod stall is when the front tires spin and the rears do nothing (common problem on moa crawlers) one problem with these are the motors need 11v plus so your esc needs to handle 3c lipo or 12cell nimh for them work well like and evx2

So if I hook up two esc's to the receiver, but pull the red wire out of one of the esc's connectors that plug to the receiver, that should be enough current to drive everything? Also, if Im controlling each axle's power with a different stick on the transmitter, cant I control clod stall?
