|  New Motor For The CC
I came across some other motors at my lhs that I'm going to try on my CC. The motors are Traxxas motors for the electric start on T MAXX's. They are apparently high torque motors, so I think that after Christmas I'll give them a try.  Last edited by canuckcrawler; 12-22-2009 at 08:57 AM. |

Anyone tried the Novak 380 Brushless motors for Crawlers? Pretty expensive upgrade, but would be interested to know how they work.

I believe that the Traxxas part number is 5279, I took that from the parts list for the T MAXX 2.5 on Traxxas .com, hope that helps. Just a note, these motors are slightly bigger than the CC stock motors, and I haven't had a chance to try one to see how it fits.

I had a Traxxas EZ-Start2 motor a while back, It was for all intents and purposes the same motor (outwardly) as the stock motor. The dimensions and stampings were identical. It had slightly weaker magnets though (judged by simple feel) ... if I had two I would have given them a shot. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

Yeah, the only thing that bothers me about this is I donn't know what the winding count is. All it says on the package is that it is a high torque motor, I'll just have to wait and see.  |

I 've already tried these motors with stock pinions & they don't work very well.....high wheel speed,low torque & kill a battery pack quick.:-( I'm now running the 70t 380s from redcat racing & pleased with their performance. Last edited by cobra98; 12-24-2009 at 05:38 PM. |

would also like to hear how the starter motors work. redcat motors huh? i keep tossing that one around as well. would like to see those 70t redcat's in action! any videos?
