| CC shoks popping-off
Hi Folks.. in this x-mas I give a CC for my son ( 5 years old) and I have two problens: 1- for second time, the shocks base caps popping off, but this time one o´ring was damage. Anybody have any idea to fix this problem? the caps are plastic very weak.. but for now I don´t expend money to change the original shocks 2- the CC stock axle gears ( plastic) are very weak? the car make a strange noise during a few moments ( TRREEECCCC), but still runs... I think that any gears on the axle is strip I´ve made a new lower links, clocked axle, and change the stock servo to another more stronger. PS: sorry for my poor englihs, I´am a Brazlian guy... thanks |

The stock shocks are kinda junk... when I removed the springs to test out droop, I was surprised to see that at full extension they are deflected almost a quarter of an inch. I have not had the lower caps pop off, as a temp fix you could probably super glue the caps on, or shrink-wrap them on with really thin wrap. I'd recommend going with a better shock though... As far as the noise, it is possible that you have stripped gears... they do have metal gears for replacements... I just ordered a set for when my new bigger weighted tires arrive I know I'll strip the stock gears out. |

ok.. thanks.. I disassemble shocks , replace the damaged o´ring and make a fix to caps. with a dremell I make a cavity on the caps, and I use a thin wire to tighten the caps. I hope it works for a while... let´s see... about gears, I ordered a set, I knew that the stock are weak. anyone can suggest good e cheap shocks to replace? Thanks |

Usually, poping shock caps off, means too much oil...just a thought!!

| http://www.rc4wdstore.com/2/product_...roducts_id=953 Have a look at this, it's by far the cheapest alternative, comes with 4s lipo capabilities(no lipo cutoff though so a novak smartstop is required) and it has dragbrake with instant reverse. It doesn't have any programming options, just plug and play. I have the single motor version of this that I'm going to install into my ax10 rig but just got it yesterday so I havn't tested it yet however I'm hearing great things about it. My cliff climber has banebots installed and the stk esc is not able to handle the draw that these motors take so if you want to upgrade those motors one day you will need to upgrade. |

No worries, I've logged about 15 hours into it now and it is almost identical to the Novak Rooster crawler esc(have it in my creeper) in terms of performance, the drag break holds very well....super happy with it! |
