Default 12" CC Finally done

Well i am finally getting around to posting pics of my CC build. I put this together "for my kids" for XMAS. This was a build with parts i had laying around, but somehow i spent a lot of money on other parts. I have pretty much gotten the kinks worked out of it and she seems to be working pretty good. I think some new shoes and she will be rock'n. My build was pretty much from the guidance of the forum and little trial/error. So thanks to all that contributed.

Stats:
CC Kit
XL5 on 9.6v
Banebots
12" stretch with custom links
All metal gears
Hitec 645
4/5A 2000mha 8 cell

Added some Losi Claws and Rockripper wheels. Way better traction. The extra clearance helps out quite a bit too.

cool rig. hows the tire 2 body rub? with my rovers i had to cut it all up. i do love the look of the stock cc body. like a narrowed up bronco almost kinda sorta like your wheels to!

Body rub is not bad. The rockripper wheels widen the stance, so that helps. I did do some trimming, and need to do a little more.

The Clod Stall is still there, but not too bad.

So I finally got to get outside and really start testing the CC. Climbs like a champ! I was really impressed with the vertical incline the CC could handle. Clod stall was still there, but I think it was better than torque twist flipping the the rig over backwards. If all 4 wheels were on rock, it was pretty unstoppable. only when the front or back got in some loose traction did the clod stall really show its ugly self. I had a shock mount slipping, which needs to be fixed. Other than that the rig was tearing up the rocks at the local construction site. I will try to get some pics and video tomorrow.

All in all, I think the CC was crawling well. The low center of gravity was really letting it hit some steep inclines with little effort. I think the clod stall can be played as a benefit in some climbs that would flip a shafty over.

Looks good. Any plans of changing the shocks?

Here is a video from some crawling earlier today. Some of the cooler crawls were missed because my cameraman was playing.
