| Cliff Climber Warthog
I built this for one of my boys who loves Halo. I used a Cliff Climber that I've had for a long time and never really used. We modded slightly just to clock the axles. Its set up with rear wheel steering and I put a Traxxas XL5 ESC in it. Wheels are HPI stock car wheels and tires are Proline 1.9's. Two 1/16th scale 6cells are mounted inside the body. One on each side. Pull the gun turret out to access the y-connector to charge the batteries. My boy is more intersted in just driving it around and so doesnt care about having drag brake. I dig how it turned out. |

Now that is an awesome way to put the cc to use. I'm using the body from an old Wild Willy in the same manner.

That's pretty cool! Turned out great! I kept looking at that body last Christmas and didn't buy it. I was thinking of using some sort of IFS under it myself. May have to build one for my boys, they're into the Halo stuff too. |

The Master Chief is here testing mine with red team leader DF01 Hummer chassis, but have to admit the crawler chassis looks more awesome. Are you planning on doing some lights too? btw, left box in the background contains 2 eggboxes, xbmc moded, hdd and Halo 1&2 Last edited by waterbok; 12-16-2011 at 05:49 PM. |
