I like to call it the 801 format (seen how 801RCC started it)
When we 1st switched to the "801 format" we were skeptical too. But after our 1st comp everyone in the club agreed that it worked out even better than expected.

The "801 format" allows you to pick what order you run the courses. So if there is a couple of real hard courses you can get them in early so you can relax a bit on the others, or you can run the easy ones 1st so you have good confidence for the hard ones. It lets the driver choose his plan of attack so to speak. The "801 format" also allows you to hang with who ever you wish. So if you and your buddies all want to run with each other then you simply line up together and you'll get to run 1 right after another. Also you can pick witch drivers you want to, because your not split into a group were you see the same people (your group) run all day and miss everyone else's runs.

Hope the "801 format" works for you guys it works real good for us.
Like PROTOTYPE said I think more and more clubs will start to use the "801 format".

2006, 2007 Nationals, 2007 West Coast Championship, 2007 Crawlerpalooza, and 2008 Mid-West all had 5 minute courses.

Go figure. I just want to see 1 or 2 people run it and watch. This is going to be my biggest comp.

Free Crawl won't make it any worse than any other multi-course being ran at the same time event. It will still only be 1x driver per course.

We will use any system you willing to come up with......as long as you also manage it .

I have frequency clips, and I will bring them. That will be my only contribution to frequency management for the event

That's funny we have been using this format in So Cal for quite some time.

It is the only way to go. It definately speeds things up.

What happens if everybody wants to run the same course at the same time?.....last man standing goes first
Seems like a good system, as long as there are always people running all the courses at the same time, instead of 1 course nobody wants to run, that doesn't get any action, then it would take longer to finish the day, as there would be a long line waiting at the end.

Fish, Dave has some computer module or something that checks frequencies being broadcasted. That way if someone is glitching bad and racks up points and says its due to someone else on their channel, turn it on and it will tell you..

I'll call him right now to see if he can bring it

Also, looking forward to see how this format works..It would be great to see something work so well with less stress, paperwork,etc.etc.etc.
