Definitely not a half hour drive, but probably further than 10 minutes.

Its similar to what you find at most comps.

If you got the family you should do something on the lake.

Lots of full service campsites a hop-skip and jump away on the lake

The campsites on the mountain are literally next to the rocks we crawl on

Are the campsites you're talking about at Bay Springs? If so, they state NO Alcohol Permitted.... That's a deal breaker..

How long have you been drinking?

Most public places don't allow it. Every park, lake, beach, or river I have been to in the last 20 years dosn't allow drinking, but most people still do it....CAREFULLY
