2018 East Coast Championship - 11th Edition

The 11th Edition of The East Coast Championship will be held on June 8, 9, and 10th.

Preliminary plans!

Friday: Optional
Potential options include Sled Pull with Scale & Comp Trucks, Night Run, 1.9 Comp

Saturday: 2.2 Pro Comp & 2.2 Shafty

Sunday: Class 1 Scale

Other Potential Options 1.9 Comp, Super Class, Class 2 Scale

May 19-20 is what works for me..

or the 12-13.. The kids can be with their mother that weekend.(for me)
May 5th is my son's Birthday.. and too early to the beginning of the work season, to have funds.. 2 weeks means alot of comp funds..

5th and 6th or the 19 and 20th works for me, mother's day will always be a bad weekend for anyone!

Scale Nationals announced they are on the 19th and 20th about a 2 hours/150 miles away. They will definitely pull drivers/sponsors/ resources away IF we decide to have the event on the same weekend.:flipoff:

It's 2 weeks after scale Nat's and the weekend of last year's ECC.. last year wasn't that hot.

if super r coming just do 1.9 on Sunday with them like always last year no supers showed up thowt Mayb 1.9 on Friday 2.2's on Sat and be done after that

June 2nd works the best for us northerners, Friday and Saturday are only 2 days we can comp, Sunday is a travel day for us, pro, sporty, mini and super we are down for, is there any scale going on or will it be all comp, only other opinion I have is make sponsors send donations nongift certificates last year tons of people never got there certificates honored I personally didn't.

Only other suggestion I have is: Ask sponsors that donate, to Not send gift certificates. WE NEED PRODUCTS, IN HAND!
Last year, tons of people never got there certificates honored, I personally didn't.

Sorry for all the delays and confusion but every time I thought I had a date figured out. Work, Wife, of Life would throw me a curveball on the dates.

In April I will be out of the country and my wife has a
her birthday after I get back.

May 5th - Work Conflict on Friday
May 13th - Mother' Day
May 19th - Scale Nationals in Tennessee
May 26th - Memorial Day Weekend
June 1st - Work Conflict on Friday
June 9th - ?? OPEN ??
June 16th - Fathers Day
June 23 - Work Conflict All Weekend

It looks like I am being forced in to choosing June 9th.

Thoughts ?
What am I missing?

June 1st-3rd

June 8th-10th..

Which weekend will bring the biggest event?

Apparently I forgot too consider The Team KNK event on June 9th which several ECC regulars plan to participate in.

With that in mind Troy has volunteered to run things until I get there on the 2nd:shock:

Let's make this a Huge event!!!

Without NEMS and NENC, this year, we should gain some driver's that would normally save vacation and money, for those events.

Looking like I can pull the most East coast drivers, for the 2nd weekend. Actually, the majority of the guys I talked too, say the 2nd weekend..
