I killed the XTM X-175 for my rear steer today and have just decided to go with 1/4 scale on both axles. ( I`ve been thinking about some Kongs) Should I get the Hitec HS-705 or the HS-805 ? If Tower is right the 805 makes 280oz/in and the 705 make somewhere around 220. There is only $5 diff in price so I`m leaning towards the 805, is it too much ? Has anyone here used the 805? I know toyo and some others are useing the 705 with good results. Anyway just looking for some opinions. Is the output for the servo arm bigger ? Seems like it woul be, but I`ve never seen one before.

I'm using the 705 on my x factor/maxx hybrid. it's truely awsome! however I do use a 7.2V on my reciever but the 705 is plenty of power. I have it on the front, using jumbo kongs with bb's in them. will turn them on carpet, descending hills(most the weight on the front). I have a hitec 5465 on the rear and it doesn't hold a stick to the 705. thinking of getting another and putting it on the rear also

I have the 805...I love it...just make sure that you have a receiver pack and a very stong mount..otherwise the servo will bend the mount 8O .lol..It turns anything thoe!

I'm running a Hitec HS-5735MG up front on my crawler, works great for my setup. I blew out my rear servo the other day too.. smallish Hitec Hs-5645MG but I plan to stick on a 1/4 for the rear too. With Kongs I shouldn't take any chances with not enough grunt power. | |

I use the Hi-tec 805 in my Twin Force with no servo saver. I love it. 343oz/tq@6volts. It comes with a nylon sevo arm and a round servo arm.You cant use your 1/10 scale servo arm. The drive gear is to big. the servo arm it comes with is plenty strong. It also comes with a y harness if you decide to use a battery pack for it. It is recommended for certain apps.but not necessary.

I picked up a couple of servos at my LHS yesterday. They are Hobbico Command CS-80`s, 334 oz/in @ 6v. Got them for $35 ea , the boxes had some damage but every thing inside is fine. We`ll see if they are any good or not.

Sorry to bring up an old thread.... Trying to decide on a servo... How is the Hitec 755? It says 152oz/in at 4.8, so it muct be around 200 at 6.0volts. Towerhobbies says that you shouldn't use BEC with the 805, as it might damage your ESC and/or Rx. Is this true? Anyone run the 805 with BEC? The Hobbico CS80, Tower says that there is a wire to hook the servo up to the battery. Is this nessesary? Can I just use the BEC on my reciever? My old ESC had a servo power wire, but my new one doesn't

I have a quick question as well. Can you mount 1/4 scale servos on the TXT-1s stock mounts? Will they fit? There seems to be plenty of room, and there are screw holes for a variety of servo sizes. I'd really love to get a couple of 805s. They're cheap! 41 bucks at my local hobby shop. I don't want to mess with fabricating my own mount though - i'm happy with the stock location. So will the 1/4s fit?
