What other motors can you use besides the MM's and the lathe motors for rock crawling?

I've used 550 motors that come in cordless drills. The motor that comes with the PTI MMT Goliath appears to be the same motor I got out of a cordless drill. It's a little faster than a lathe motor, but slower than an MM, kinda inbetween the two on torque as well. Some people are using the Electrifly motors as well, I think the 600 is the one they are using. David |

im using the multiplex 600 in my tlt. it works good , it has good wheelspin and torque it is a 550 can so make sure you have enough room in your rig to mount it. |

What about this? its out of a cordless drill and im not sure what kind or volts? im running it on 2s and it seems slower, does that mean it has more torque?

Slower does not automatically mean more torque.

Try looking for a number on the motor, then Google it to get an idea on voltage it's designed for. If it's designed for higher voltage than you're running, you can burn it up. I would guess it's designed for a minimum of 3S.
