| integy 75 turn motor? Ok I just got back from my LHS and I had bought a Integy 75 turn motor. I soldiered the wires and tried to crawl a few obstacles. It seems to be very glitchy. Is this motor too much for the stock esc?Any help would be great.

I don't see why the stock ESC wouldn't handle it. There ain't any ESC's that I know of that won't run a 75t. Did you put caps on the motor leads? What radio gear? Why did you put this in the WK section?...........It's an electronics question? Maybe it's because the 75t is so slow, you gotta wait for the motor to catch up with the gears and it just seems like a glitch. Last edited by Reflection; 02-02-2008 at 04:38 PM. |

I put it in this section because It is a wk question. All my electronics are stock. And no caps are on it. What kind should I use? 12"wheelbase Diffs locked Moabs m3 compound Fj cruiser body 96t, 13t gearing 75 integy motor. |

I know there are several different kinds of caps guys use. I've been running brushless for so long,I forget. I can't say that I remember if it really mattered much. Some guys get away with running no caps. I have in the past. Some guys get glitches and caps help. | |

Ok I decided to try and put new batteries in my radio and try it. It still glitches, but I noticed that if I stand close to it It works just fine. Would this mean I need a better radio or could it be an antenna problem? Oh I realise it is better off in the electronic section, But because this is a WK based rig and the stock HPI electronics are in it, I though that the wk section was a good place to start the thread. |

if you turn it on does it glitch just sitting there,or does it happen only when driving the car? did it glitch before the motor swap? is the ant. still in the stock location?was the new motor broke in or install and bash? integy motors are well known for the comm. being jacked up. a untrue comm. will cause all kinds of glitches without caps.

Id say its the radio if your glitching stops when you get close to it. Sounds like a broken wire in the receiver antenna

I would check the crystal in the radio and receiver also.

The Mtroniks Viper Marine 15's HATE 55t's, they're just too slow for them and they start glitching and getting all pissed off. 45t's seem to do the same thing just not as bad, but 35t's are the slowest I'd run on that one. Just wondering, maybe this is the problem. Do you have any other motors to test it with? My friend ran a 55t on 8 cells with the stock WK electronics without issue, reverse did burn out after a while though..... |
