| Battery packs?
I want to order a set of battery packs for my Axial, but not sure what size battery to run? I have the axle plates but not sure what size will fit? Any suggestions. And I'am running a sidewinder with a brushed motor if that matters.

If you want NimH go with a set of these in an 6 or an 8 cell saddle pack: http://www.maxamps.com/MA-1600-Cell.htm we can make the saddle pack for you and all you pay for is the cells and hardware. There is no charge for the custom work. Or if you want Lipo we have this little beauty: http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.ph...le-Pack&cat=82 .

There is no "Pack Builder" type of interface on your site. Please quote a 7 Cell Saddle Pack with a Deans female connector in the 1600mah 2/3a. Thanks much.

Guys you can call the toll Free number to order them now. 1-888-654-4450 then press 2 then the # key for Alex. I have contacted Clint at the shop and will have him ad these two packs to the Crawler pack list under the Axial link in the 1/10 scale pack section. The price for the pack should be right around 20 bucks for a 6 cell and about 24 bucks for an 8 cell. If you have any other questions let me know. Jason |

Sorry, I don't have a pic of my setup handy, but my 3s, 1300mah Vislero lipo fits well on the Axial LCG plate mounted on the front axle. Anything bigger you'll have to get creative with. I'm really happy with it, and get about an hour of run time.

Here's the link to the Axial pack listing in the 1/10th scale section. http://www.maxamps.com/categories.php?cat=13 We have the only Lipo saddle pack that will fit on the TCS front axle plates and we have a wide variety of packs that will fit on the Axial front battery/servo tray. From the 1100's the 1720's and the 7.4V 3300 for those of you running the 2S Novak Goat systems that want really long run times. Our 2000 pack will also fit on this plate but it's tight when it comes to tire clearance. It just clears with Losi Rock Crawlers. Jason |

While your talking batteries what would be a better battery for an ax10 with mambamax and cobalt 7t castle bec. I have a 8.4 1500 saddle pack coming but after reading some different threads the say it might not have much run time There are no comps around here just fun crawling

You ought to have at least half an hour as long as you're light on the trigger.

Jason, I ordered the Saddle Pack custom config....I have a suggestion, you should have some basic ones as an option on the website to avoid people having to call. I wanted to give you guys a shot, so I was willing to call. But I had to make 3 phone calls in order to finally get through to help. Add to the website: 6 Cell Configuration 7 Cell Configuration 8 Cell Configuration Have a pull down option for the type of plug desired. Just roll the cost of the plug into the price of the whole pack. Those are the most common for NiMH saddle packs. |

With the colbalt I think I would go with something around a 3S 1550 or a 3S 2100. That motor needs voltage and a higher amp rated pack. Jason

Jason, You guys need to ask configuration of your saddle packs. I ordered a custom 6 Cell Saddle setup, and I assumed they'd send it stacked. Instead they sent it Flat, so I have to disassemble their nice solder work to get them to fit my AX-10. |

I got 2 Venom 7 cell 2/3 A 1200mah packs and wired them parallel (2400mah). I get over 2 hours bashing time and at the last GTG I was at I was able to climb the steepest grades. I will try to get a pic of my homebrewed battery mounts. I bought some aluminum angle from H/D and made my own brackets. Batteries sit on the axle, velcro'd to the servo with a tie strap for security. Batteries were less than $30 each.
