Have you removed the red wire from the ESC?

The red wire from the ESC must be unplugged when using the BEC.

im running 8 cells and i think its shorting out the mamba 25 because it will work for those couple of seconds but once it gets hot nothing. so dose anybody think if I get a mamba max that this will fix the problem?

What cant be seen in those pictures is how you have the little on/off switch wired up. How do you have it hooked up? could you get a picture of that also please?

If the ESC still heats up and shuts off even with the BEC unplugged, The problem is the ESC I would say.

Do you have another ESC to test with? I believe the Mamba is toast.

I hope this is not the ESC you are trying to sell in the classified section.
