| Hitech coreless robot servo
Anyone run coreless?? Should be fine for a crawler? Thanks. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXRRC5&P=7 Sorry, kind of a newb question. I guess the hsr-5990gt replaced the HSR5995TG. Never had a coreless anything before. So I just had questions about it.. Last edited by holycaveman; 03-23-2008 at 11:25 PM. |

Coreless motors just have a lighter armature, so they can spin faster. Nothing strange that you need to know about. You do, however need a radio with EPA's if you expect a digital servo to last...

Technically with otherwise identical motors, a coreless motor will overheat faster since there is less iron to absorb the heat. But in reality, two motors are never otherwise identically equal.
