I got a Y-link-cable at the local hobby store. Here is, how I connected the three ends of the Y-link: 1 / female plug no. 1: the BEC's (castle creations) male servo plug is attached here (other side of BEC - plus and minus - is soldered to the plug (Deans) that comes from ESC (Tekin FXR) 2 / female plug no. 2: the servo (Hitec) is plugged in here 3 / male plug: both plus and minus are carefully removed from plug and taped off - only the yellow signal wire is in use here and plugged into the Receiver (Spektrum 3ch) Result: Servo gets power straight through BEC only, and only signal from Rx (which is powered through the connection to ESC). Since I have a 3 channel radio, I still have my Bind port available and my AUX also (for lights, winch etc) - if you followed castle's diagram you would have used up one of your RX's outlets. Worked right away! |

Looks like Il be wiring my own external bec so I ordered a castle creations 10a ..i have been reading thus thread and think I'm close but not quite sure.........on the esc to bec connection do I want to take the positive and negative wire from the esc and solder that onto a deans plug as well as soldering an extra positive and negative wire to that same deans plug?then those extra positive and negative would be wired into the bec?then I run the positive and negative wire from the bec to the servo?and finally plug the signal wire from the servo into the receiver?.then finally remove the red wire from the esc that plugs into the receiver?am I even close lol. Is there something in missing?

Here is a wiring diagram I created for setups that wire the BEC directly to the Rx Here is a wiring diagram I created for setups that wire the BEC directly to the Servo Please let me know if I made any mistakes! |

hey everyone.I'm trying to finish up my avalanche build but i'm stumped on the wiring part.ill be running a holmes brxl with a turnigy 959mg steering servo (2) hitec 645mg servos for dig and 2 speed shift, i also have a winch.how would i go about wiring all of this up with the bec or becs? since the winch needs 7.2 volts and the servos on 6.0volts.could someone draw up a diagram or explain all of this to me please.

slightly off topic, but not really. on one of my nitro trucks, i have my Rx and both my servos running off a 2s lipo with no other BEC in the system and i dont have any power issues until i start to empty my charge on the lipo. it seems to me like we are all scared to run our servos on anymore than 6v?? i know for a fact that most Rx units will handle well up to 20v in most cases, so 7.4v and 11.1v is more than safe enough for the Rx anyway (11.1 probably a little much for a servo tho) i run a stock axial wraith servo as my throttle, and some other cheapo servo for my steering on my 8th scale nitro truck with no worries on 2s. just thought id throw this info out there. |

I bought a new Castle BEC 2.0. how do I set the Output voltage on it? 1. if I send power to the RX. what voltage? and how? 2. if I send power directly to the Servo, what voltage? and how? thanks |

I am new to RC and am having some trouble wrapping my head around how to wire up a TRX4 with stock receiver, a mamba x, CC BEC 2.0, and a HH Rex bypas with aux output. Is there anyway someone can draw out this diagram? Where does the red/black wire off the BEC 2.0 go? If this is not the correct spot to post my apologies. Thank you. So I cant remember where I read it but it has worked so far. Basically on the CC BEC 2.0 you have an extra power wire on the output side. I guess you can use it as an additional power point if you want to run an winch or lights. If I am wrong about any of this please correct me. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk | |

| Re: Definitive wiring diagrams for BECs Rx Servos Motors etc. There are 2 sets of red and black wires, one is smaller with a servo plug on the end meant to be an output to power servos or the reciever, the larger set of red and black wires would be wired into the ESC battery connection to feed the BEC power (the input). The best diagram I cant think of is on the Holmes Hobbies product page (the second image) https://holmeshobbies.com/electronic...ry-output.html Last edited by HumboldtEF; 09-14-2018 at 05:00 PM. | |
