| I have a max amps lipo(2000mah 11.1V) and I just bought a Great planes Equinox balancer. I went to go charge it today and none of the connectors match up. Do I need to buy a different connector? Thanks in advance! |

| Did some research. Your only hope is to find a hyperion lba6 hyperion adapter for 3s. I may have one at the house, but I doubt it. I looked around and couldn't find them anymore, it is a disco'd balancer. You might be able to mod one of your harnesses to fit if you get a lba10 hyperion adapter like so: http://www.allerc.com/product_info.p...oducts_id=3161 take the wires from your equinox side plug and jack them into the harness. | What if I just used the connectors that came with it and mod a connector to get them it work? As long as it's designed for a 2S pack I should have a problem, correct? I just need to make sure all the red and black wires line up, right? If all else fails, what are the risk's of running a 2S pack without a balancer? I've been told I can get away without one. Would I then just charge it like a normal battery? |

| You can charge it without balancing, just like a normal pack. It will likely get out of balance over time. Do you have a voltmeter to test each cell? If you can get the pins to line up without risking shorting the battery I say go for it. 2s is 2s. |

| The only difference between the 2S and 3S pack is the number of wires, correct? So as long as I have the correct number of red and black I should be good to go, I hope... I do have a volt meter but the pack is all sealed up(Thanks MaxAmps). I got to looking a little closer at the pack and 2S cord. The cord has 2 red wires and 3 black wires. My lipo has one red and three blacks. Is there a way to get around this or should i return it and buy a different balancer? What balancer would you suggest? Thanks JRH, you've been a great help! | They hyperion lba10 would solve your issues. What you have is a rebadge of the older lba6, and it is hard to get adapter cables for it now. The lba10 has adapters available for about any pack. The issue with the lba6 design is that it uses two relative positive wires. To properly mod a harness you would have to make sure that both red wires got the relative positive off your pack tap. |
