Default 8711 max voltage

I know it is only rated to 6volts, but a fully charged five cell pack will reach over 7 volts instead of the rated 6. my question is with a ccbec, what is the maxx voltage I can run this bad boy at so I can throw the wheels around? (not like it isn't strong enough already.)

A couple of the guys over at EWRCRC have been running them off of MPI regulators set at 7.2v, with no issues. I'll stick with my CCBEC set at 6v though, more than enough power for me.

My bec is currently set at 6.5, no problems just on my carpet, I'll do some more testing tomorrow at 4 seasons.

I have run mine at 6.2v for quite a while now with no issues. I have not run it this way in hot weather though.

Same here! Not worth burning the servo up or reducing its life. 6v is more than enough power for this servo.

I've had it set at 6.5v for a couple of days now, case doesn't seem to be getting hot at all, but that could be due to my little cooling fan .

I've had one in a Revo running 7.2V for over a year now, no issues.
