| Well, I took the plunge today. I sent payment for a Sidewinder ESC, BEC, and Castle Link, as well as won an ebay auction for a Holmes Hobby Crawlmaster 3014, 1000kv brushless motor. So, realizing that my existing battery would no longer cut the mustard, I picked up my first attempt into the world of LIPO, a Venom 3 cell, 11.1v 2100mah pack. This is my first time with either brushless or with a LIPO, so I'm unsure exactly what kinda difference I'm in for from my old Tazer/45t setup. |

| You will have a slight reduction in wheelspeed/volt, but with an increased voltage you should get that back and possibly more. I would suggest a slipper clutch if you have an axial tranny, and be light on the throttle under load while learning the system. An outrunner is like a flywheel. Once you get it spinning and hit a load it wants to keep spinning. It takes a different feel for the throttle. |
