The BEC ( Battery Elimination Circuit ) is built into the ESC. The question is if the Rebel 2 can power the servo at full 6v strength without running a seperate reciever battery pack ( the Battery Elimination Circuit part ). I'm not familiar with the amp draw on that servo but the ESC should be putting out 5 amps. If you only running the one servo it should fine with any old battery you want use.

According to Tower, the TR2 can handle up to 10 NiMH cells. Each cell is 1.2V, so the maximum voltage it can handle is 12V. A standard lipo cell is 3.7V, so a 2 cell lipo is 7.4V. A 3-cell is 11.1V. 4 cells is 14.8V and so on. So the biggest battery you can run is a 3-cell lipo. The capacity (mAh) of the battery is inconsequential.

The TR2 does not have a low-voltage cutoff. Lipos can be over-discharged and permanently damaged. You can buy an external low-voltage cut-off to avoid damaging the battery.
