Thumbs up What to use to program the CC BEC?

Is it the Castle Link prgramming kit that you use?

Why doesn't it say "ANYTHING" about being able to do that on "ANY" website. Even the Castle website doesn't mention it, and I've read countless specs on the product with no luck.

What do I use?

Thanks...

Castle should really add it to the list of "capable functions" on their website shouldn't they, how self-limiting is that of them I wonder...

Thanks for the advice...

I just received the following from the seller of a Castle Link from an eBay model shop:

"Hi, there is no facility on the pc link to change the bec voltage output, if you need to run a higher voltage on your servos I would suggest you use a seperate 6v battery pack.
Regards
Tony
Model-pro Ltd"

Is he chatting crap?

Does it deffo allow you to change the voltage on the CC BEC?

you just need a castle link. with the link you unplug the bec from the rx and plug it into the link, then the link plugs into a mini usb cable that has a normal usb that goes into your computer. Its really a peice of cake. The only problem is the castle link is $25, or if you know someone nice to let you borrow theirs you'll be all set!

If you watch ebay for a few days you can generally pick one up for $15-$20 USD W/ shipping, God I love Ebay!

Have you even tried searching here? I know there are countless threads on the subject. It took me less than 15 seconds to find it straight from Castle's site where you said it wasn't http://www.castlecreations.com/products/cc_bec.html

This is exactly why you should buy from a Vendor here and not the bay. If you had bought one from JRH, he could have set the voltage for you. I bet you didn't even save any money buying from an idiot off the bay.

Yeah, get one from the tool on the bay who said you can't change the voltage.

Cheers for the full-on reply scatman...

Anyway, it doesn't say anywhere on the site you just provided about using the Castle Link to program it, don't know why you posted that bit... I have searched and used the keyword search within Castle and they don't say, only the ESC and some other product beginning with a "B" (cant remember now) - anyway, my point is, they should be advertising the fact that it allows programming of the BEC, not hiding it. please don't waste time saying they advertise it cos clearly they don't or I'd have seen it (many times). If that info is there, its hidden cos I still cant see it. If you really must, provide me with an actual link to the very page it says on, and all is forgiven innit.

Anyway, thanks very much for the info (to all also), very helpful. Think I'll buy one asap.

Anyone (vendors?) in the UK want to sell me a Castle Link and BEC then get in touch, good price paid for new items only, PayPal preferred... ;)

Cheers all...

Robbie

Did you just look at the pretty pictures or did you try to do some actual reading?

It's right on the link he provided, you know the page on Castles site that describes the bec;)
