Post Castle Creations BEC troubles

Good afternoon Gentleman!

My name is Thomas Porfert and I'm one of the tech support guys from Castle Creations. TattooKenny called the other day and alerted me to the problems some people have been having with the BEC. It appears that there are some issues with the BEC causing abnormal glitching or cutting out. I see that you guys are working on the problem have found some solutions, but there are still some having problems. It seems some of you have already figured out the tricks that we're aware of to fix the problems, so I can't help much there. The fixes seem to be removing the orange wire, rewiring the BEC output directly to the servos, or simply receiver/BEC/wire placement. If these possible solutions still haven't work, then we're in a dilly of a pickle; and that's exactly why I'm posting this.

We want to get to the bottom of this issue so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of our BEC. Since we're short of solutions at this point, we need to do some testing on our end to try recreate and find the problem. Below I have included a form that I ask if you can please fill out. Please only fill this out if you are or were having glitching or cutting out problems with the Castle Creations BEC. If you are having any other issues or have questions about any other product, please contact Tech Support at 913-390-6939, ext 1 or support@castlecreations.com

What issue are/were you having? -

(Please be specific, saying “glitching” doesn’t help much. Please describe what happens when the problem occurs and what causes it to occur. A good example is: “The motor runs fine in a straight line, as soon as I turn the steering wheel, the servo and motor start to glitch uncontrollably and doesn’t stop until I disconnect the battery.”)

If you can e-mail pictures of your set-up it would help tremendously.

If not, please indicate the following:
How close is the motor to the ESC?
How close the motor to the receiver?
How close the ESC to the receiver?
How close is the BEC to the receiver?

Set-up questions:
Have you extended any wiring? Battery, motor or receiver?

What is your chassis made of? Plastic, carbon fiber, aluminum?

Are you using connectors between the motor and ESC, and if so what kind?

Troubleshooting:
What have you done to try to fix the issue?

Did any of them work or are you still having problems?

Please copy and paste below and above the lines and send them to thomas@castlecreations.com with the subject “R/C Crawler BEC Issue Form”. (Please do not post them here) We will review all of the returned forms and see if we can find a commonality. We hope to be able to recreate the issue and find out exactly what is causing the problem and an end all be all solution. If you have any questions, concerns or comments, please send me an e-mail. I thank everyone who has brought this to our attention, everyone who has offered help and solutions on the forums and to all those who fill out the form. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope this helps us find a workable soiution to get everyone enjoying their Castle BEC! Have a great day!

you could ask a mod to make it a sticky, then you don't have to bump it up!

Just installed my BEC last night and am experiencing a glitching issue. I have tried a couple things with no positive results. I have sent an email explaining my issues.
