Default Where to set the castle bec?

I'm running a hitec 985mg at the moment, have the bec set at 6 volts. Would I gain much by bumping up the output a little or would this just shorten the life of my servo? I was wondering about just going to 6.5 or 7 volts? I'm running 3cell lipo, mamba max & 45 turn brushed btw. thanks

Is your servo lacking at 6v?

It's mostly adequate, maybe it just doesn't seem lively enough because lately it seems everyone's dropped coin on a 5955 & I'm comparing it to those? Just wondering if i could get just a little more out of it without causing any harm

i run a 5995 and i have my bec set a 7.4 and it dont get hot or lack anything. if you crank it up pay attention to temp and dont run forever. short runs are best. just like in a comp 5 min. good luck.

thanks, maybe I'll bump it up a little but keep it under 7 volts & see how that works
