Hey guys, I'm curious what cells are the best "bang for the buck". I need to get some packs together for my comp rig (2.2) and looking for some info. Also, are there any other sites besides cheapbatterypacks.com to have packs made? Thanks in advance Matt

I still love the elite 1500's pretty much the stamp of the crawling industry at this point. If your not running lipos your probably running elites. Of course there are other cells. But, honestly cheapbatterypacks.com offers the best package. I mean shaped the way you want, with the expensive connector you want, all for a reasonable price. Top notch quality work. If your hunting for bargins these might be ok bargin packs. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXMHH3&P=7 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTFZ6&P=7 Only cells I would recommend staying away from are the Intellects, and the Venoms do to their bad reputation. I've heard the GP's are pretty flat as well. You can buy raw cells most anywhere.

I like the prices of Common Sense R/C packs. You can get away with a big 8C budget pack if your motor doesn't draw too much amps. I run a 2s 2000mAh pack and it only cost $20. They're reputation seems to be OK. Good customer service also. Edit: Just noticed that you seem to be after NiMH/NiCd. Sorry, but if you're looking to convert to lipo for cheap...Common Sense R/C.

Batteryspace.com is where I have gotten a lot of cheap batteries. They have crazy good deals on loose cells. My last 2/3a cells were ~$1.00 each. They are 1400mah and I've had good luck with them. I have also built AA packs with their batteries with no problems. Just to be clear, I don't use these in any high draw situations so I don't know how they would perform there. I use gp3300's for my brushless setup and they are awesome. For lathe motors and the like, I recommend batteryspace. Oh, and build your own packs, it's one of the best things I've done on my crawlers. It's also easy.
