Default JR XS3 Pro?

Does anyone have any opinions on this radio? I'm REALLY wanting to condense my radio's down to one on the things I drive. I wanted the DX3 until someone told me it only has a 2 model memory? Complaints or Praises would be great. How do they work with winches/dig?

If it makes a difference to you http://www.spektrumrc.com/ProdInfo/F...30ManualHR.pdf
The DX3.0 has four model memory. The JR XS3 and the DX3.0 are pretty close with one being 2.4 ghz and the other being modulated FM the DX3r really is not that much more and will give you everything you could want for a 2.2 crawler. ( about $150 difference in price with buying the second receiver that the 3.0 comes with, the servos that are included with the 3.0 will not work that well for a crawler but you could use them in other projects) You only think about the $$$ when you buy it, but you think about the radio anytime you use it.

Also the XS3 and the DX 3.0 third channels are both two position switches while the DX3r has a three position switch which will allow full function of the DIG.

so your saying DIG is not an option with the XS3?

can the radio be modified to do DIG? (add switch)?

In stock configuration the 2 P switch will allow 4wd and Locked OR 4wd and freewheel but not all three at once. I will differ to someone else if you can add a 3p switch to the board and make it work. You may also be able to program the third channel to mimic a 3p switch by 2 positions plus the servo reverse to add the third position but I have not done that, so again I will defer that to someone who has.

Well, my problem is as it sits, I have 3 crawlers running, 2 more being built at the moment, 3 touring cars, a BL basher WK, and all my future projects. So, 4 model isn't gonna cut it. I really just want to have winching ability, but if I'm gonna have to settle, I'll pick to go back to a DX6.
