Default How many cells can I run on the Tazer ESC?

http://www.dynamiterc.com/Products/D...=DYN4910#specs I am looking at getting this one this week used from a buddy (buying either way), I was just wondering if I could run more than 7 cells on this ESC without smoking it. The website says a max of 7, but I wonder if that is just a precautionary thing, and if I could actually run an 8 or 9 cell.

Thanks

It could work on more cells, but to how long would be the next question... They mark it safe for 7 cells because that's what the wireing and/or circutry can handle. And that's also going to be what's covered under any warrranty. You may or may not fry the ESC with more cells... So, is it worth it???

So I would be best suited to just run a 7 cel pack and call it a day.

dima, it took 3 runs to make it stop working with an 8 cell pack.

Dima,
don't be greedy :P
7cells (8.4 volts) will give you mucho wheel-speed

If you want longer run-times, drop in a 55turn motor...

see you next Wednesday?
