issue with using react 4th ch for winch control

as simply as i can say it, when i turn on my react, the 4th channel (winch control) doesnt begin in its center position. it starts up in the retract position (-1 of -1,0,+1) and fraking snaps my winch line.

if i hit the 4th channel toggle switch, it will then center and behave as it should. but up until i hit the switch its in the -1 position of the 3 position value i assigned to it.

my servo is modded correctly and the little screw doohickey is adjusted so that the servo doesnt want to turn in any direction with 0 trim, and the react works fine after i reset the 4th channel switch.

all startup functions and timers and all that crap is off. the 4th channel is in the 'hold' value with the softkey being assigned to "channel 4 toggle/hold". binding to different softkeys does the same thing, retract on startup and a broken winch line if i dont remember to reset it before turning on the rig.

help?
