Default Universal V8 sound unit

Does anyone know if there is such stuff available beside the Tamiya MFC-02?

The Tamiya MFC is cool but I dont need those vibrations, light, honk etc...
All I am interested with is the sound. A sweet growl from a V8..

Also, it should be a universal unit where the user can use any esc. The unit take a signal directly from the transmitter Throttle channel and the output to a speaker.

Whoever can make this surely makes money...

imagine if they have it for drifting too... with the waste gate sounds when you release the throttle...

I hope some electronics gurus will think about this...

There are current systems for planes that use throttle position and evn have start up sequences and idle. But these are new and at this time are very spendy. 2 hundred to 3 hundred bucks for a unit. I agree though a small V8 unit would be kinda neat on the scaler. I remember years ago there was a company that used to advertise a unit that looked like a beer keg that did engine sounds But that was 15 to 18 yrs ago.

Yeast went and listened to the RAM units on their site and they sound terrible. The new plane units are made by some guy in Europe and I saw and heard on last summer in a plane and even way up in the air it was loud and clear and they sound real as hell. Maybe a guy could get a hold of him and see if he could make a car unit. I'll see if I can find his website.

I've got a cheapie Muscle machines R/C that has engine startup and and Idle and motor sounds with throttle, even has working headlights, brakelights all that stuff. And it sounds AWESOME!!!! I've been trying to figure a way to take the sound guts out of it and stuff it in the Gremlin but I don't think there's a way, as the whole ESC/Reciever/sound unit seems to be a single unit.

I'd love to get a Tamiya MFU but at nearly the price of a High lift it's a tad steep for me.

If one of the electronics wizards out there could figure out something like this, they'd make money hand over fist.

Even better would be to make it so you could record your own sounds into it. I'd love to hear the rumble of my 1:1 400-horse 390 AMC motor through 40-series Flowmasters coming from the Gremlin King...

Do you have a picture of the whole piece? Is it variable with the throttle of the RC?

Is it the big one? I gave my better half one for xmas a few years back and it's still brand new in the box. Hmm....

Thank for bring this up , maybe with all of us interested and searching we can come up with something.
I'm just guessing but maybe with some Diodes and other electronic parts ran between the Amplifier and the speakers the ESC voltage could change the effect /input going to the Speakers

Maybe this site can help http://www.electro-tech-online.com/

I am installing a MP3 player in my Project Super ( build link below) my Sony Mp3 has voice recording so I recorded V8 full scale crawling engine Sound from Youtube, It sounds Awesome !! with even 4watts, I am now going to a Altec Lansing 6 watt . It does not change sound to the ESC but it still sounds cool.
Be cool to mimic my motor

hope we find something

Sweet. I've been looking on ebay on and off for a few months now. Hopefully, I'll get lucky soon. I know some sofware dudes, I'm gonna see if they can write some wav files to an IC and then I might could gets a driver and a little mosfet and stuff it on a breadboard and plug it into my light output. Hmm, that just might work. Time will tell. It sure would be sweet to have one of those die-cast ls4's to put the ls9 sound behind
