I am thinking to go really fast with my Rock Racer Clod and still be able to do some slower crawling . I have some 3cell Lipos on the way. I may go with two ESC's and two 3cell Lipos. If I go with one ESC only will the Sidewinder handle it all? How many KV's is too much? And how many too little speed wise? Thanks electro freaks!

If your going brushless, YOU HAVE TO USE TWO ESC's. I think you will go plenty fast with a 5000kv motor, but you will cog like mad trying to crawl stuff, plus you wont have hardly any torque. I would look into something around 3000kv or less and gear it down some.

you can't run two brushless motors on one esc. My only brushless experience is with an hv maxx, so I don't know much, but I'm pretty sure you won't do much crawling with a 5000kv motor (unless you have some stupid low gearing). I personally would go with some 35ish turn brushed motors, one esc, and the 3 cell. My clod moves pretty well on 14.4v and 55t motors, not a rock racer but I have plenty of power if I wanted to gear up for some more speed. hope that helps, and do some more reading, this is where I got the answers to your questions.
