Default Lights not working?

I have the Yeah Racing Dark Drifter light set but am having a problem. I am running 7 lights total. I removed the 8th light from the plug so I can replace it if necessary. I plug it into the esc, turn the truck on, and hit the "on" switch on the light module and I get nothing. The lights will only turn on if I short the positive and negative prongs on the aux channel on my receiver. Once I do this they turn on fine and then I am able to turn them on/off no problem. I've tried different channels and it still is the same.

Once I turn the truck off and let it sit for a bit I need to short the receiver out again to turn them back on. It happens on both of my DX6 receivers and my Losi DSM 2channel. I can't see this being good for the electronics.

Any ideas? I love these lights, but I haven't heard of anybody else having problems.

Good theory, but from what I remember it did it even if there was just one pair of bulbs plugged in.

Just tried that....put the extra bulb back in, but the receiver still needs to be shorted out before the lights work. Could it be I just have a bad light module?

let me try the same setup you have on my hl, and i'll get back to you and see if the module works fine with all the leds hooked up, there is no reason they shouldn't work, i'll do it tomorrow a.m.
